Villa Odino (Quartro D Altino, Italy)

On the banks of the Sile river, in the midst of the greenery of a century-old park at the doors of Venice, in the village of Quarto d'Altino, Hotel Villa Odino is a place of unexpected quiet and elegance. A country residence for the bishops of Venice dating back to the 16th century, it still preserves its ancient charm although it now comes with the most modern of comforts. A historical residence of the 16th century, first of Torcello Bishops and then of Venetian nobility, Villa Odino was carefully transformed into a refined 4-star hotel by the Pasini family who to this day takes care of every hospitality detail. In the quiet of the Veneto countryside, at the doors of Venice, and very close to Treviso, the hotel is located in the midst of a luxuriant park on the banks of the Sile river in Quarto d'Altino. Located among willows and century-old trees that frame the beautiful swimming pool, the private beach, and the landing for the hotel's private boats that travel up the Sile river to visit the natural park. A new addition which is perfectly integrated to the older building of the villa has been built. This recent restoration enhances the ability of the hotel to welcome guests in elegant rooms typical of Veneto villas where family-type hospitality is complemented by the most modern comforts. The charming atmosphere of the common rooms which boast rich Venetian fabrics, are enhanced by classical furnishings in wood and leather, by marble floors and by the original lacunar ceilings. Brightened by wide panoramic windows it is the perfect place to read, have a conversation or watch TV. Breakfast is served in the room that gives to the park, and in summer in the beautiful park itself. The buffet is Continental and American, with delicious home-made pastries, juices and Italian coffee.
